The October Meeting of the Polk County Hot Shots was held at the "Butch" Olofson Shooting Range on October 4th, 2008.   There was a brief meeting, officers were elected and then we proceeded to shoot.

We hope to have the final scores by the November Meeting.  Thanks again to those who participated.

Treats:

We still need members to sign up to bring snacks.  We need someone to sign up for December, January, February, and April thru September.  Reminders will be sent out as your date gets close.

Registration Materials:

Registration materials and payments need to be turned in at the November meeting.  The forms will be turned into the extension office by the 15^th.  If you have any questions about the forms or you are not able to get them turned in at the November meeting please give Kim a call at 957.9939.

Calendar and Member List:

A meeting schedule and a member list were handed out at the last meeting.  Please check it over and look for any errors.  An updated list will be passed out again after all registration materials are turned in.

Officer Elections:

Congratulations to those members elected to an office!!  The following members were elected to the following offices:

There is an officer training workshop on Thursday, November, 13^th from 6:30 to 8:00 at the new extension office.  All officers should try to attend.  Please register ahead at 957.5770 as pizza will be served.

Family Fun Celebration:

Don’t forget about the Family Fun Celebration on Sunday, November 9 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Northview Middle School in Ankeny.  There is a Carnival theme this year so there will be lots of fun and games.  There will also be soup served before the awards are given out.  See the Clover Power for more details.

November Meeting:

The November meeting will be held on Saturday, November 1^st at the shooting range.  After new officers are installed, we will be getting to know each other by using potatoes!  Afterwards there will be some fun times on the rifle range again using potatoes and whatever else we can find.
